Get more out of life!

Becoming an ‘ostomist’ can be pretty daunting - we know because we have all been through the same experience. That is why Ostomy Mates  (previously known as Swindon IA) came into existence.

We are an expanding group of ostomists as well as relatives/friends of ostomists from all walks of life. We are local people of all ages, from teenagers to ‘recycled  teenagers’!

We meet frequently for talks, exhibitions, social events and, in addition, we support the local hospital as much as we can.

The aim of our group is to help and support each other as needed as well as making new friends and having fun - it’s amazing how good it can be just to meet someone who really understands what you are experiencing.
